In-Office Whitening
In-Office whitening can restore your teeth to their natural whiteness, in as little as 1 hour. Weller Aesthetic and Implant Dental Care is one of the only dental offices that utilizes both the Zoom® and BriteSmile® whitening systems. Both systems produce very similar results. A hydrogen peroxiode based gel is applied and activated by a high powered dental light to whiten the teeth. On average we see an improvement of 4 to 8 shades brighter, depending on an individual’s teeth. Depending on your habits, normally the treatment results can last up to 2 years. We do have available maintenance systems which help to extend the longevity of your results.
For best results you should have a professional dental cleaning prior to starting whitening. If you have sensitive teeth we can recommend special pretreatment options, which will help reduce sensitivity to your whitening procedure.
The doctor recommends waiting 4 weeks after the removal of orthodontics before undergoing whitening. Patients must also know that whitening will not change the color of current dental restorations including bonding, fillings, veneers, or crowns, although it may remove superficial stains from the restorations. If you are considering having any work done on the front teeth, whitening should be done at least 1 to 3 weeks prior to selecting a restoration color in order to produce the best aesthetic results.
Whitening Tray System
The DayWhite® take home system utilizes a set of custom-fitted trays in combination with a safe, peroxide-based teeth whitening gel, to achieve whitening results faster and more effectively than the typical over-the-counter teeth whitening products you might find in your local drugstore. The custom trays can be worn twice a day for 30 minutes. The Day White® system allows you to brighten your smile in just days, right in the comfort of your own home.
